US losing its geopolitical dominance?

No, because the Dollar would depreciate and the stocks would rise...

US Can't loose dominance though because the EURODOLLAR system demands 75 Trillion $ annually to refinance 350-400 Trillion $ of debt and theres like 3/4 transactions internationally utilise the $ for refinancing that debt, they control the flow of $ into international markets so can loosen or tighten on whim, as long as domestic liquidity stock is enough for rolling over debt(s) (debt to gdp is irrelevant, liquidity to debt is relevant) then the US can become isolationist or globalist on the whim as it sees fit.

At the moment it's reducing its overheads (internationally) so its domestic liquidity can absorb its debt roll-over, its international liquidity is still strong, as people say China etc not buying bonds, but if you look at the caymans that is... offsetting that demand and is likely domestic Chinese companies operating via Cayman vehicles (or other).

Basically the US is still strong, in 15 yrs though... or rather we will find out how strong in 2032.
Thanks for your comment. Can you elaborate on what happens in 2032?

Why do countries spend trillions of dollars for their military in peace time?

Not sure what countries your referring to here that spend trillions.

Which field US is losing its dominance?

Manufacturing
Semiconductors
Artificial Intelligence
Trading Partnerships
Scientific Research Papers
Battery Technology

China is winning in all the technologies of the future.

When would that happen in your opinion?

This is long term but if I would hazard a guess by 2050 China would be top in most fields including Chip design, AI etc. China is already the biggest trading partner to over 120 countries and has the biggest middle class in the world. It has long been by far the biggest economy in the world measured in PPP (a real measure of GDP) and that's by US's own admittance.

The anti-China crowd can get mad at this...lol but if countries want to stand a chance of competing then governments spending more money on research, innovation and building out your own supply chains is key. Spending crazy money on defence like Ursula wants is not the way nor is America's spending on its military gonna achieve anything - just like it's 20 year plus $2trn spending in Afghanistan achieved absolutely nothing.

P.S What you are seeing with Trump is the naked face of US imperialism/capitalism and its last desperate attempts to assert its will and maintain its hegemony in what is becoming an empire in terminal geopolitical and economic decline in a coming multi-polar world.
