If not mistaken, Lithuanian GDP per capita is 2x of Russian. In best case scenario, your statement is a stretch. Russian standard is along the lines of Bulgaria. All ex soviet countries that are in EU now, are doing so much better then they did when they were under 'CCCP'. No problem, we will assasinate you, replace you, and your country will get a nice loan from the IMF and hire our contractors. Do some research on the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant for instance.
