You missed my point, I haven't said all of the grey countries are 3rd world. Most of them - yes. Especially the biggest grey area of the Russian Federation. Most of that territory is beyond 3rd world.

zero russophobia. I was just born in Lithuania so I know Russia a little better than most other non-Russians. I have been also traveling to Russia before. I know what the rest of the countryside looks like. That's just a plain fact, no hate.

If not mistaken, Lithuanian GDP per capita is 2x of Russian. In best case scenario, your statement is a stretch. Russian standard is along the lines of Bulgaria. Romanian GDP per capita is around 15% higher than Russian and it's among the lowest developed countries in EU.

All ex soviet countries that are in EU now, are doing so much better then they did when they were under 'CCCP'. I think I'm not overestimating if I say their standard got 4-5x better than it was 30-40 years ago

Of course they (we) do. The west has the biggest amount of money, that's true. However the clock is ticking, just look at the US debt. EUR is also going down; EU has imposed sanctions yet they don't have a solution for the energy crisis they themselves have caused.

And there are a multitude of reasons as to why the west is rich right now. USD being reserve currency for example, and stuff such as economic blackmail (read the book Confessions of an Economic Hitman). You don't want to play by our (western) rules? No problem, we will assasinate you, replace you, and your country will get a nice loan from the IMF and hire our contractors. Do some research on the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant for instance.

So it's not that simple.

money is simple paper.......world reserve currency,swift,resources are real value......once you lose control over these your paper is not worth much anymore.

Lol this is irrelevant when you live in a country with one of the worst Covid restrictions in the world. As far as I know, (and Gediminas - feel free to correct me) every single shop in Lithuania required a Covid pass to enter.

Well that's true. But the Russians weren't the problem, the problem was communism, the economic system itself.

This will not be solved overnight, but long run EU has learned the lesson and they will limit in the future how much and what they get from Russia. Short term, EU lose a lot, long term Russia lose a lot.

Germany with no resources and 50% of their GDP coming from export will tank like the titanic

I am not playing politics with you. And that's the main difference. You just care about irrelevant fears. I care about people who get killed and women/men (like your mother, daughter, wife, or girlfriend, best friend, or brother) getting raped through all holes multiple times by multiple Russian soldiers.
