Best Banks in Non Crs countries

BTC self custody - blockchain.
For those that don't get it, while the topic here is banks, this user decided to subvert our expectations of having a discussing about the presented subject matter by instead bringing up something that isn't a bank, namely the cryptocurrency bitcoin. By doing this, the user is suggesting that bitcoin is better than a bank. This is often considered clever and quirky, signalling to other users that this user is a crypto connoisseur, which is something that the user feels is important that everyone else is reminded about.

I am all for Bitcoin but one should always have options up his sleeve hence this thread.I am pretty sure our friends in OCT will enlighten us with their knowledge of different good banks in non crs countries.Certain old threads about non crs countries list etc are incomplete without knowing which are the best banks available in such jurisdictions.

I have one account in Mongolia but the bank I have used is no longer onboarding foreigners that are not residents. I lived there for a year so the process was simple. They did not have any problems changing to my new address when I left the country. For this reason, my account continues to be active and used with success. As far as I have read online, they still do not report yet. It is my understanding that bringing larger amounts can open more doors.

Additionally, a nice choice is Serbia, where there is access to quite a few larger European banks. In current times, I think there has been a lot of Russian interest, which could put Serbia on lists of jurisdictions to keep an eye on, scrutinize with AML more.

Mind to mention some banks rather then a useless story about personal experience and a country we have well discussed ?

why you link to this CON - hard to mention a few banks in Mongolia ?
He wrote it during his early years (when it was still possible to open an account there as tourist) and when he was not yet a con. It was fun reading his stuff 15 years ago when he was a cool nomad.

Any individual can turn up at the bank with their passport and request to open account. As indicated, you’ll need to make sure you specify the type of account you want and ensure that the teller understands, or else you’ll end up with something you don’t want. Opening a term deposit could prove tricky as many tellers are unsure of how to send money in from overseas.

I chose TDB Bank as the best bank in Mongolia based on recommendations, however you can also try Golomt Bank, Khan Bank, or XacBank.

Chances are you’ll be asked a few questions about why you want to open an account. No one ever seems to comprehend my answer of “for fun”, so you should probably have a more compelling answer about wanting to invest in the tugrik or plans to spend more time here.
