Zero days on UAE gold visa. Will it work?

but how?

if you have no place in your name neither rented nor bought, no local bank account, no local phone number, no local insurance...
how am you really living in that place?
There are many trails you leave behind in 2023: ATM's/shops/streets/parking lots/stations... have cameras, card transactions, IMSI & IMEI data, license plate scanning on toll roads, local public transportation card, membership cards, PNR flight data, IP address, GPS data, jealous neigbour/relative/friend that sees you...etc.

Tennis player Boris Becker was living in Monte Carlo (Monaco) in the 90s, but he actually resided in Munich (Germany) in a flat at the top of his sister's house. He didn't have local bank account, local phone number, local insurance... he was "just" famous, wealthy and very noticeable.

Boris Becker was not living in Monaco thats the issue. If you really reside in your residence country, this would not be the issue

word but hes planning on being in the country for 3 months at a time

In a nutshell, just don't try to outsmart the country of your citizenship where you were once a generous taxpayer like Boris in the example above and you won't be in trouble. Other countries won't tax you when you visit them for a few months a year as a rich tourist.
