I'm not sure you can refer to them like that; they're just doing their job. But if it ever came to that, and they became homeless, they could always get a job as described many times in the mentor group.

It seems that IBKR stopped processing GBP/EUR withdrawals coming from my account Xapo as Gibraltar is now a "restricted" country and I have no connection with it. It lasted 10 months.

Now I'm dealing with their compliance, hopefully there'll be no problems with USD deposits. I'll try next week and report my experience here. Honestly it's also time to explore some alternatives since I'm not in the mood to pay 1000$ annual fee.
also EURO withdrawals ? you're sure?
 
I tried to register a week ago. So far their "automatic" process could not verify my address, then they would not accept two different proof-of-address documents. I've asked the support regarding that and they were slow and useless. I mean, one does not usually expects good service from banks nowadays, but online-only non-retail bank should be a bit better than average.

Is it normal for them to take four tries before answering a support inquiry (I guess I will stop my application then) or it was just a bad week for them?

For other who try to register: the app doesn't work with PDFs. It just uploads the first page. So if you have translated notarized bill, Xapo would see only the first page (without translation, notary stamps etc) and reject it.

Sir, with questions like this you could work as a bank service representative. Indeed they have asked me that.

Support was not helpful at all. Reluctant to pay them a thousand just to try...
 
Have you asked their support for help with uploading the PDF, or asked if you can send it directly to them? It's also a way to find out how responsive their support is, or if the company is completely inactive in that part of the business!?

Before I understood what was wrong, I was asking them. They were slow and not helpful. Looked at the first page of this thread (all good reviews) and decided to give it a try anyway. Paid the fee, ordered the card. According to support it will be shipped in 10 business days...
