Hi all!

I have a business account in Wise registered for my US LLC (single member) for almost 2 years.
I'm a resident of Spain.
Wise asked me to verify trading address of business and I'm not really sure what to show them.
I already tried to submit ID of Spain residence with my Spanish address but it didn't work and they respond me the folllowing:

To help us do that, please upload a recent copy of one of the following:

• A utility bill that’s not a mobile phone bill

• A bank statement

Your proof of trading address needs to be from within the last 3 months and should be addressed to your business. See the full list of documents we accept.

Other documents: Bank statement, Tax documentes, ID, etc

In my Wise account there are two trading addresses, one is in US, another from Spain. I struggle to determine what would be the real trading address in my case. The business is 100% remote and I work from my home in Spain.

In their docs they say that the document must be issued to the name of business, not to the name of the owner.
So I can't provide utility bill with business name, they are issued to my name in Spain. The same relates to bank statement.
I can try to send 1040RS tax form, it has: my name, business name (on 5th page) and my Spainsh address. But I'm not sure that people in Wise are trained enough to find all of that in 6-pages document.

If I choose to verify US address, obvisuoly I can't show any utility bill, but I can try to show them bank statement from Zen.com, it's bound to US business address.

Did Anyone have expeience with verification?
Any suggestions?
Please help :)

Then Spain is the place of operation or trading of the company. It is clear.

For businesses, we need to collect two addresses from you:
  • Your registered address, or incorporation address, is the address you incorporated your business with and the one listed on your official business registration documentation.
  • Your trading address, or your primary place of business, is the physical location that you run your business from every day. For example, your home, office, or studio, or where customers can come to physically interact with your business, such as your storefront.

Can you not provide any of the below for the company that they request? i.e business registration documents or just open a new bank account with a Puerto Rico bank and show that statement?

Actually I can. But it's werid: they do have business registration documents (I submiited them to open the account). So I'm thinking they really want me to show something more fresh. Not sure here though.
Also, any reg documents and any bank statement would have US business address and it's not a trading address, to be honest. Buy perhaps I better pretend it is.

Have you trired with the Zen.com one showing the business name and the US address?
Not yet. A bit scary to try things out before thinking twice and getting some advice. But yeah, it looks a robust option.
However, it would look crazy, I used Wise statement to open Zen and now would use Zen's one to confirm Wise :)

That's how the business works. As soon as you have 1 bank, you can open many more and then you are good to go. Just never rely on one bank only.

I ran into the same thing - they don't seem to want to accept my home address, they won't accept the registered agent address, and there's not really anything else I can do.

You can use a US office address, they will then accept it. It is important that the bank statemt you submit bears the company name and address.
They won't accept the sheridan, wy address that everyone seems to use. They wrote that the trading address can be my address or a company office - I submitted two diff docs with my address and name and both were rejected. I don't have US substance, so no office there.

Yes, of course they don't want Sheridan. 1M companies tax evaders are using it already. You need to get another US address elsewhere. Your friend, mother, brother, client, etc.

Yeah but that address would bear my friend's name, not my company. Is jspaint the only solution for that? (taking into account that I have 22 left to resolve it)

Curious to know this too.

After using my home address and personal utility bill for a decade+ with multiple businesses, Wise has now decided this is no longer acceptable for my type of business. I'm now to present a lease or bill in the company name - for each business! doh948""

Yes, they will understand it as they will be getting the same lease agreement 1000 times. Why invest in them, you can simply paint it on your own. It is worthless.

So we can "officially" not use a non-US home address for WISE business accounts anymore, as long as we do not have Documents that proof the company is trading under the address?

Where have you read that? They just want a proof of address with the company name on it and not yours.
