US personal bank account

I don't understand why anyone would want to use such "tricks" (assuming it's something illegal as you don't want to discuss it in the public forum).
As @fshore wrote, many banks will happily open an account for non-residents. You'll just have to visit in person and you'll typically need a US mailing address (just use a friend's address or a paid mail forwarding service).

Yes always required
Was it a corporate or personal account?
Personal, it’s the same for corporate accounts if you want to go with a big bank
