Bahamian prices with Italian taxes, the worst of both worlds! Curious to know where this hell is.

Sounds like a Scandinavian country?

exactly... so I think you all have no reason to cry, but I have, and that's why Switzerland is the perfect place.

Yah, the lifestyle is also not that far apart (compared to 3d world which one has to like for other reasons).
Switzerland can make sense for sure and can be relatively affordable if one knows the ways around.

To have even lower taxes, try to living off of capital gains and borrowing against your asset base. Banks will also love a skilled borrower.
It is quite complex to wrap up here but it points you towards the direction.

Did you consider Liechtenstein?
no not really. It is even more complicated than Switzerland and as I mentioned, I like the Italian part of Switzerland.

You'll do ok. Find a decent accountant, relax and enjoy the good things of life, after all that oppression from the previous country.
Lugano is small and laid back... but if you need emotions there's plenty of mountain/air sports around. If you have hobbies, join clubs to meet people otherwise is a bit hard.
There's not much better around. Maybe Monaco, but it's on a WHOLE different budget level if you want to enjoy it fully.

Switzerlands people remembers me germany in the 90's
Cost of living in switzerland is horrible high (zurich) and living from savings there kills your savings quickly if you don't have a minimum like backpacker said.
90k savings sounds nice but did you also counted how much more you need to spend more to just keep your standard

you didn't read the thread, it's obvious. You just start the violin over.

that's a general attitude I've seen from many of the frequent posters. Everything is NEGATIVE and you don't answer what you are asked about but come up with all kinds of other noise. I hope you will be satisfied @EliasIT and maybe make a long post in mentor group gold about your adventure and how it has gone so far and in the future. I am very curious to read about your journey.

i have read the thread and him moving to switzerland will get him a saving of arround 90k in taxes.
So my realistic question was since he was looking for lugano which isn't cheap either how much of these 90k will stay after adding all the additional costs he will have to pay which he currently has not.

You clearly never lived in switzerland for a time to realise what costs can come to you which are horrible high compared to other european countries when trying to uphold your standard
There is no mistake when even swiss people ask these question because the world is not just black and white
