Yes, bringing the virus with themselves
Yes, bringing the virus with themselves
Answered yíour question in the long answer sent to CaptKData: The draconian lockdown countries have also rising numbers.
I assume you live in eu from your writing. Germany?
Some questions regarding data and specifically the garbage in garbage out problem:I was thinking hard to decide to answer but here it is:
1. Who talked about the number of death? Only you. I talked about the number of infections - "Indeed not everywhere is it like that. Just talk to the UAE. They opened their doors to tourists before Christmas, and the number of new infection started to grow exponentially in the beginning of January."

Speaks for itself, doesn't it?
2. You did not mention what kind of data you talk aboiut when you wrote "2. Data is key as always."
What kind of data are you talking about? I did not mention anything related to data.
Now you talk about death rate which in the UAE is quite incomparable to other developed countries. 90% of the population is foreign, and by far the average age is much lower as the UAE sends away older foreign workers instead of spending money on their healthcare like in nearly every other country. Still, you did not even say anything what do you mean by Data is key always.

You wrote: "The wall is actually built to keep people in and not out.
I answered: "Which wall? EU governments want some breathing room till they get enough vaccines for their population for herd immunity. Do you say that Germany which has announced not to allow South Africans and British to bring the triple-dangerous virus is doing it to keep Germans in and not the South Africans out? Or what is your concept? Come on please...."
You wrote as an answer: "All these travel bans is because people who can work from anywhere are starting to look at new options."
Now of course you are entitled to your opinion but do you seriously think that lockdowns are due to the fact the freelancers want to work somewhere else and the authorities rather close their countries causing huge damages just to keep the freelancers at home?
You wrote: "All that is going on is to keep Europeans in as the majority of the world is getting back to normal." What about Australia or New Zealand? Trying to lock their people in just for the sake of ruling them or trying not to invite virusholders from abroad(SA, UK etc)?
You did not answer my question: " EU governments want some breathing room till they get enough vaccines for their population for herd immunity. Do you say that Germany which has announced not to allow South Africans and British to bring the triple-dangerous virus is doing it to keep Germans in and not the South Africans out?"
"The draconian lockdown countries have also rising numbers."
Statistically and mathematically what you say is meaningless. Which country, by what ratio, by how much, what is the time frame you are looking at etc etc.
"I assume you live in eu from your writing. Germany?"
I live in the EU, but not in Germany. Believe me I want to travel, between 2013-2019 I flew 190,000m a year on average. I am running a multinational group of companies and should visit my colleagues regularly (in the UAE also) but I think it is very irresponsible to encourage people to travel, to spread their viruses all over the world. For exactly the same reason I am not visiting my mother of 78, as I do not want her to be infected by me, to get ill and die with a high probability.
And yes, I do not want the new mutant virus-holders to come into my region. They should stay at home, infecting their own people not me.
Again, who talked about what you wrote? CT value? General death toll? Fearmongering? I just simply showed a chart clearly showing the huge increase in infections due to the opening of the UAE for the Christmas and NYE period. Nothing more, nothing less. Yyou are just adding garbage questions to something I did not write about. A trend is a trend, can be caused of course by something else than opening the borders but the statistical probability of any other reason is very low. Some questions regarding data and specifically the garbage in garbage out problem:
*Average death rate is way over 80+ across the world. Does this justify all this?
*General death toll compared to road accident, suicide, cancer?
*What do "infections" actually mean? These are just positive tests. Do they have a practical relevance besides fearmongering?
*How high is the CT value used to find these "positive tests"?
I knew you live in eu because of your way of stating these arguments coming directly from the mainstream media. But the world outside does look at it differently.
Yes, there actually is a very European way of dealing with COVID and stating arguments. First f**k everything up with random bans and restrictions, make every country come up with their own specific rules, fight over masks and vaccines, order a billion of tests that are actually useless, destroy the economy and millions of small businesses and entrepreneurs, break the constitution, damage children's entire year of schooling and socialising. So you think the reason why I have this opinion is because I am a dumbf.ck and accept everything coming from the mainstream media? Is there a special European way of stating arguments? Please explain to me what it is this, I am quite curious to understand.

Then if someone protests and complains, blast them with water cannons Dutch police blast woman in the head with water cannon - if that doesn't work, maybe next time try a machine gun. Some countries went totally retarded - that includes Europe, some Australian states etc.
Meanwhile look at countries in South/Latin America or in Africa or even some European countries outside the EU (by that I DON'T mean the UK!). The madness there is way smaller. Why? Perhaps because these countries can't afford to destroy themselves for 12+ months continously and they need to reopen - for tourism, for the economy, for life. It is surprising that even countries like Brazil or Belarus - which are basically ruled by dictators and have HUGE problems of their own - have a more reasonable approach towards COVID.
I have no idea about Nigeria... Back to OPs question, crypto or some similar mobile payments are probably the best way. For short term stablecoins are fine, for long time you can just switch to Bitcoin hehe.
By looking at the death rate probability per age group and the my questions outlined above, your mama is very likely to survive this virus. but less likely to survive the restrictions like having to wear masks, having to be isolated in hospitals etc.If you need I can find you the videos from Ecuador with bodies of dead people lying on the street as the health system was simply overloaded. To generalize 400m people in a region like Europe and believing that they all think the same way is as stupid as calling the US a redneck/yahoo/dumb country. Intelligent people think differently. And I stand by what I said - I do not want virusholders free access to my country to infect my old mother - they are only welcome after the virus disappears.
Very well said. A more soft approach makes sense. And in some places an upgrade of general hygiene like washing hands is not that bad for other reasons as well.Yes, there actually is a very European way of dealing with COVID and stating arguments. Just three things:Buddy get a test. If your positive stay at home if you are negative off you go.
Nobody dies from COVID that's why if you listen carefully to what they say. The person died had tested positive for COVID.
In the UK the definition of a death linked to COVID is that the person tested positive for COVID in the last 28 days. So if you had COVID on the 1st of January but had no symptoms. Got hit by a car on the 20th January and died, your death certificate would read death related to COVID. How does that work?
Where are all the Cancer, Diabities, HIV and the other deaths. Did they go into lockdown also?
I have been flying all throughout COVID, Turkish and Ethiopian Airlines were flying to UAE and Africa.
I sell COVID test kits and have been exposed to COVID and never tested positive.
All the test kits identify the SARS strain not C19. The test kits are incorrectly being sampled in the Lab. You are supposed to do 30 cycles but Labs have been told to do 45. If you keep looking for something eventually you will find it.
Not going to start talking on a virus that doesn't like children, when Cancer, Ebola and HIV do not discriminate on age.
Back to topic the number of infections have gone up in the UAE. More people are going there, that is irrelevant. The number of deaths is the crucial data.
It's like saying France had 90% possession in a world cup final but lost to Brazil. No one remembers or cares about the possession they care about who won.
Do you have first hand knowledge about Ecaduor, with people you know and who could provide you samples? We know how this is being dealt in very corrupt places.Just three things:
1. Talk to people in Guayaquil where they collected 300 bodies lying on the streets - they probably would care about avoiding infections
2. Hope we agree that Cuomo forcing nursery homes to take back infected patients was a very bad idea
3. Cancer and diabetes are not contagious... Obviously lockdown does not help them at all.
Anyway the whole Covid matter now looks as if it is a religion - you are either a believer or a pagan. There must be something like a middle road between

Same way Brazil is in turmoil with their strain but people are in clubs and the beaches are full. I speak to my business partner every week and he normally takes the video call on a packed beach.Do you have first hand knowledge about Ecaduor, with people you know and who could provide you samples? I had a lot of first hand material and no where where bodies piling up besides the usual incompetent stuff happening.
I have people I know who got quite sick from that with symptoms and the positive test, so you gotta take care and try to live a healthy life but certainly not with these out of place lockdowns, which are pure madness.
Interesting take. I am happy you make good business with these tests
I think everyone is getting tired of almost a year old virus now. But virus is not letting go with new more dangerous variation striking terror in UK and South Africa mostly. I hope it gets better for the sanctity of this world and we finally eliminate it but it might become endemic as scientists are not too sure. Keep a safe distance everyone.Same way Brazil is in turmoil with their strain but people are in clubs and the beaches are full. @JackAlabama just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Can't complain it's a nice residual income.

This event would not help either: CBN instruct banks to close accounts related to CryptoBasically, all of nigerian banks have limited monthly international transactions to 100$ per month, per person.
Is there a way to go around the limit of 100$ that you know about? For an example, would it help if I had a business/company bank account in Europe? Would my people in Nigeria be able to go over the limits by sending the money to an actual business bank account instead of private bank account / payment provider apps?
I really need some ideas and knowledge, please.
