Yes correct. Only thing required to open a bank account offshore or in Cyprus is a valid passport copy and utility bill, that apply for the majority of the banks, there are exceptions. As long as I only look at a simple bank account to receive and send moeny by Wire Transfer or IBAN transfer I only need to provide valid passport and utility bill right?
We had to provide notarized copy of passport in order to get the account opened with Barclays in the Seychelles.Bankers reference letter would be an additional document that some offshore banks are asking for.
It's not possible, that simple! All banks have their banking and acquiring bankin split into two or more divisions or even companies.I would like to know if it is possible to open a offshore bank account and merchant account with one and the same bank?? for banking I just need simple Internet banking and USD account, for merchant account I need to accept VISA and MasterCard + ACH checks if possible.
Any input please??
