I am really surprised, and shocked to hear that.

Even though I missed his contributions in the forum lately, I would have never expected him to have any serious health issues, he sounded like he still wanted to accomplish more. Through the PMs we exchanged, he seemed like a really smart and nice guy, always eager to learn new things and to share his vast lawyer knowledge.

Thank you for being you, RIP my friend.

This message has reached me as late as now. I am travelling today and perhaps I will have to take a longer break than I planned originally. I am really saddened – and surprised. Although I and jafo, unfortunately, have never met in person, we exchanged a lot of thoughts and inspiration publicly at forum and in private messages; and regardless I learned many about his private life, I have never got an impression that he was fighting with health problems, he seemed to be full of life energy. His good mood, humour and true friendship were brigtening my days. I cannot find proper words, I am afraid.
@imissyou, I am grateful that you let us know. Please, pass my condolences and deep sympathies to all close to him.
jafo, I miss you. I do not know whether you had an opportunity to enjoy the accomodation in Vaduz which I had recommended to you recently; but when I arrive there next time, I will remember you. And your input here will live forever, until the end of digital memory.
Thank you for being you. Rest in peace; somewhere where are no governments.

How about some Memorial Hall at OCT? I think he also deserves the lifetime badge.
We'll see. Yet let's have this discussion in some other thread, anyway.

He was one of the many users here on OCT who truly contributed with serious knowledge about everything OCT stands for, escaping the tax authorities, living a life of wealth, and without shackles holding you back.

Had a lot of private conversations with Jafo about my plans involving Monaco. He was such a helpful and pleasant person.

RIP Jafo, whoever you were.

OP, would you mind sharing a bit more about him, without getting too personal?

I just got hold of this thread and its messages. I join everyone else before me in sending my condolences to @jafo 's family and friends. RIP and may God rest his soul. A truly valuable contributor of this forum, one that I would carefully read whenever he had anything to say, particularly with regards to Monaco and/or Switzerland. Will definitely be missed.

Hello, everyone. I'm a long time friend of a person you know as jafo. I’m posting here because he always spoke fondly of this forum and the people he connected with here. Sadly, he has passed away a few weeks ago. I wanted to let you all know since this community meant so much to him. I knew him for more than 3 decades and was keeping more in touch with him in the last couple of years since he was sick. He had a good life, and part of what contributed to that was this forum. I know he's thankful to all of you for brightening up his days and help keep him entertained towards the more difficult times at the end.

Thank you for being part of his life.
Even though i am a relatively new member ,please convey my deepest condolences to those who were dear to him including all of us in this community.May his soul rest in peace. If there is any kind of farewell for him will try to attend.I am in London btw.For all his content and insights in this forum( even though i have not read them yet but got to know from other posts in this thread) i thank him and give him a standing ovation.
