Our valued sponsor

I know a lot about cambodia and banking/business ask me anything.

Maybe you didn't get the right introduction for the bank. i am very confident that perhaps just speaking at a different branch would be ok. Even people from very high risk nations can open accounts relatively easy. Russia should be easier than places like afghanistan or sub saharan africa. There are many russians here with several bank accounts here. Would you like for me to talk to some banks?

I don't know how to pm here either, drop me a contact at this email (it's a throwaway email) [email protected]
Haven't gotten any feedback from you and that email is expired if you still want to get in touch write something here that allows me to contact you.

If you can send private messages than we can exchange information and talk on Telegram /whatsapp / signal etc... If not i rather not post my contact publicly if possible. So if you can't send pm than please make a single use email to which I can send you my Telegram contact. Thanks

Cambodia is a most lovely place.
I've spent a decent wad of time in Siem Riep with my lovely wife and young child and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Lovely nature, fascinating history lots of development.
I never went down south to the capital or the coast though, maybe for another time.
Couldn't help but wonder of the various mutual opportunities available.
Would welcome getting in touch.

Wild east with Chinese casino crime gangs killing each other in the streets, whilst the locals are forced out of the major cities due to escalating costs as Chinese move in, where the natural environment and rivers are cleared for resources from sand to mining.

Nah thanks, lived next door to it.

My general experience with "gangs" in several countries is that they try to keep their business to themselves and if someone is killed, it's usually for debts or unresolved business, member of another gang or another family, never tourists or random OCT members. Happens in Latin America, Balkans, I don't think Cambodia would be that special in this.

Also not all cities in the country would be a dirty casino hellholes. One city? Maybe. Everywhere? It's like judging the entire US based on Gary, Indiana or Clark County, Nevada...

If you are a tourist or visitor, I'd probably worry about petty theft/bag snatching and corrupt police (which can be both bad and good). Don't behave like an idiot, don't trust the locals or local banks too much and you'll be fine. There are foreigners living there for years without major issues.

What if y6ou are tax resident in Cambodia? How is your foreign pension taxed? How about other income from your brokerage account in US??Very interested to hear from you.

Hello everyone i have been lurking in the forum for a while now and i just decided to register.

I have been living in cambodia, i have been involved with many business, i have relatives working in banks here and i personally know most of the relevant people in the country both in business and politically.

I decided to make this "ask me anything" regarding cambodia. I might be slow in replying but i will. Feel free to ask me just about anything, visa, bank accounts, company registration, taxes, customs, buying cambodian nationality, real estate, living here, etc..
Most likely i have direct experience.

Cambodia deserves it's nickname as the kingdom of wonder in my opinion, a very friendly non CRS country with a dollarized economy and a very flexible attitude towards most things.
I mean here you can literally pay a general to shoot an RPG against cows so many things can happen.

:)
Hello,
I working on integrating myself with the merchant PSP business. What is it like to get a banking license within Cambodia? Would it be feasible for an outsider?

Seems like OP isn't able to answer most questions as claimed ;)
