Euro Pacific bank is a Scam!

Oh the one thing that been cancelled is our MasterCard as they state you need to be based
In Europe to have one due to new regs. Not sure if that is bs, anyone knows more about this????

That's normal and they are probably telling truth there.

What is worrying about EPB is authorities have potentially details on all clients via their previous card provider. Card data provides more data on movements, purchases and location (ATM use) than CRS :(.

Euro Pacific Bank dataleak?

Tuesday Jan 22 update: It has been a month since I have attempted to withdraw money from my account. The 6th unsuccessful wire transfer i sent to my canadian account from europac bank was returned for the 6th or so time today. I called CIBC and cibc said they did not reject any wire transfers. In fact they say they have not received any wire transfer request for my account in the past month that europac claims it's been sending my wire transfers to me and cibc has been rejecting it. I am about to open another bank account with a different bank tomorrow. If rbc has difficulty receiving the transfer i will resend tomorrow, then i will be sure europac bank is a scam and they've been using this dubious means to prevent me from withdrawing my own money from europac bank, while charging me hundreds in transfer and failed transfer fees. if rbc fails i will fly to puerto rico and withdraw my cash in person, if i end up having to come to Puerto rico, baldo, marcin, and everyone else get ready because i will spend time in Puerto rico and take action against you 2 personally and your bank and bank owner as well. thank goodness you are now under us jurisdiction.
#scammers! if you've run out of cash do not try to scam us out of our hardearned money. Future customers be warned!

I too have had a very negative experience with europac that enhances my understanding of the sentiments on this forum. I sent money transfers to Canada and long story short, due to europac's mistake, i'm yet to receive it. Rather than return this $ to my account or do their job and freely investigate my not receiving any of the wire transfer I sent, Devin Baldo and others that I contacted throughout this process blamed the issue on everything but europac bank, and suggested ways to "fix" the problem they caused that will result in my spending even more of my own $. Emails to their support and wires email addresses resulted in 0 responses.

For a while they didn't even know why they hadn't returned the wire transfer I sent 3 weeks ago and suggested I spend even more $ for them to investigate their mistake. I've transferred at least 3 wire transfers to my canadian account within 3 weeks and received none, and europac has been great in blaming cibc rather than themselves.

I will tell you all if they finally fix this issue or if they mess it up further. Let's wait and see if they will finally act right. Whatever the case I will regal you all with whatever further bs europac does. Yes I agree with others, doing business with this bank has become quite questionable. Others who have had bad experience with europac - if europac does not fix this problem for me in a timely manner - and you all want to pool resources together and take legal action against europac, I am happy to join. I will give this a few days first and see if they address my issue or not in a reasonable manner. What a bank!

PS: I failed to add the only itty bitty silver lining: Marcin during my call with him was quite nice and did really seem to want to help, and said he'll contact one person or the other and try to investigate this, BUT, unfortunately, he did not help, and no one resolved this issue that started around dec 20th of 2018.

Sounds annoying. However after only being frustrated about the less than perfect new banking interface which caused delays in payments I think they have there act together. I do multiple wires to several accounts per month and have no issues anymore. In order to prevent future problems I did go the e-residency route as was suggested before in this topic so I have a backup option.

To add, this joke of a bank refused to allow me send my own money to a friend last week, and said i can only wire money to others if it is for business purposes only, otherwise i can only send money to myself! in which universe can we not send a legitimate wire transfer to others? Over the past month these scammers have billed me $400 to send these "wire transfers" and failed wire transfers that i haven't even received.

Except I am trying to withdraw everything and close my account with them permanently, so going through the hurdle to get the e-residency might not work for me since this is the last time i will use a bank like theirs ever. i tried wiring the $ to a friend who's with rbc last week but was told i cannot wire money to others except it is for business purposes. wth! thanks for your comment though.

What is rbc? And what is a e-residency?

The whole idea of the e-residency is that you don’t need banks like EP anymore. But I do understand that the e-residency program is not working for some people.

Hello EM EM, Haven't you urged EPB to conduct a SWIFT transfer trace/tracking on the failed transfers and send you the results (hardcopy) proving that the receiving bank rejected the payment? If EPB tells the truth, you can demand explanations from your Canadian bank and if they are making up excuses not to release your money, then they won't be able to provide you with the SWIFT trace document.

When one of my intended wire transfers went astray, Euro Pacific Bank wanted $30 to do a trace. Screw EPB! My bank, the intended recipient, did the trace with no extra charge.

I'm joining the list here of people with bad experience with Euro Pacific Bank. My account is currently frozen since 2017 because it's under audit from the St. Vincent FIU. An investigation that has long been closed without further ado. Still, Euro Pacific Bank refuses to unfreeze the account. Not even after the moved of heir legal entity to Puerto Rico, where the authorities of St. Vincent don't have jurisdiction. 0,0 response from compliance on the matter. 0,0 response on the letter from my lawyer (yes - it's come that far). Anyone looking to team up for legal action can contact me at budgetgame at gmail dot com.

Your gonna try and sue a sh*tty shell bank in a bankrupt banana republic? Sue a bank that knows 99.9% of their entire client base are criminals and tax evaders with something to hide? Sue a bank where 99.9% of money is undeclared? Sue a bank where you don't even know who the shareholders are or whether the bank has not already spent your money on luxury watches and champagne? You will end up playing cat and mouse as they move jurisdiction, change name and corporate ownership structure.

Good luck however and hopefully people will join you thu&¤#.

Hello Sirs,
I am having problems with Incoming transfer to EPB account, I am using the Federal Reserve Bank intermediary bank.
My client has already tried to transfer 2 times. In both cases the error was:
"Beneficiary Bank return reason: Beneficiary account closed."
I have already contacted EPB and my account is activated and without any limitation.

Is anyone else having problems with incoming transfer?

Email the CEO Mark Anderson directly and see if you get a better response. Or try another dirty bank in that bankrupt country like Elite International.
