So I'm planning to put up an online store finally. I would like to sell merchandises for my music company. Is there any great site for me to do it? And what do you think I should hook it up with when it comes to the payment method?

Use OSCommerce and paypal or 2checkout and you may be fine. Lots of support for OSCommerce. If you want to pay for it, Magento is a good alternative!
