Tello works for verification SMS; but if you need to validate your identity via your phone number it doesnt work, you have to get a phone nomber from ATT or Verizon or Tmobile, to register your name to the phone number, when you buy a number from tello or USmobile, is a reused number.

I have Tello as eSIM too, and the battery drain has increased quite a bit, especially if the eSIM is constantly active.
