You may want to check out this one:Hey guys, what's the cheapest way to get a real non-voip US Phone Number from Europe?
Not sure on the use case, but if you need it for banking etc. to receive SMS, this probably won't work either if the VOIP ones don't work. What about silentlink?
I heard about Phound as a valid solution in many YT videos. Are you 100% sure it doesn't work? What's the cheapest non-voip option in your opinion?voip: phound, skype, google voice
esim: tello.com, mintmobile.com
Same. What's the cheapest option according to you? And what did you try between these? You may want to check out this one:
Hi All,
I need a UK/US telephone number that I can use for 2FA.
I've tried using Hushed and 2ndNumber.tel and those regular services but it knows it's a online/VOIP number.
Anyone know a service that actually provides a sim? Can Be UK or US. Ideally I need both.
Thanks,
Mark

If you need it for banks, you may wan to check as there are some numbers with registered name, while other operators don't do this. See this one:
It depends on the provider. But normally you lose it once you don't pay. They often also inform Facebook, banks etc. about your loss in case you added it there.what happens if I get a number now and then I don't renew it? Do I lose the phone number instantly?
That's very good and important to know, thanks.I'm about to transfer my number to Tello. They are one of the few that allow esim activation from outside the US. Many others I have checked you need to be in the US for activation. Plus prices are reasonable. I came across it via a Reddit thread as there are numerous discussing this topic.
Tello - Activate esim from outside the US.
I use phound, it's a good app although you can't use it for some SMS verification that blacklists voipI heard about Phound as a valid solution in many YT videos. Are you 100% sure it doesn't work? What's the cheapest non-voip option in your opinion?

Afaik yes. You can check any number hereIf you port a tmobile etc number to Google voice, does it then become a voip number?
Thank you so much for your help, and for the website that allows to check phone numbers! It will be a very useful tool.Afaik yes. You can check any number here

But it always depends on the use case. Some VoIP numbers work sometimes and sometimes not. What is OP trying to do?
For recieving SMS, VoIP numbers normally work fine for SMS sent from phones. For 2FA, they are sent digitally and most often out of 10 routes, 3 work and two have delays.
For banks, as mentioned some rely on the register name, which again is not even supported by all major carriers. And then banks do send some SMS to VoIP numbers while they require real numbers for other applications.
In the end it is a hit and miss.
I think the cheapest is this one
https://www.ultramobile.com/paygo/While this one is free but but sure whether it is a VoIP number. Maybe somebody checked

Yes, please let us know in the end what worked (or not) and for what purpose.Thank you guys, this community is an amazing place full of people ready to help.
Yes, I think I will go with Tello as it looks like it's the most supported one, accepted from financial services too that usually are the ones with the most difficult check on phone numbers.Yes, please let us know in the end what worked (or not) and for what purpose.
Why wouldn't silentlink work ? Aren't they just USA E-sims?Not sure on the use case, but if you need it for banking etc. to receive SMS, this probably won't work either if the VOIP ones don't work.
I think they are using Polish SIM cards and then you can get a US number on top of that. Why wouldn't silentlink work ? Aren't they just USA E-sims?
My number is a +1 number. I haven't had it for long and haven't used it with banks either though. Worked for Telegram.I think they are using Polish SIM cards and then you can get a US number on top of that.
https://silent.link/faqWhy do I see +48 Number in my phone settings?
A +48 number that may show up in the your phone settings is an internal ID.
What I am not sure is how real the US number is. You actually could be right and they use real numbers. Does anybody have a plan there and tried it? I do not expect it to work with the banks which check for the names as it is anonymous, but could work for WhatsApp or others. If anybody tested them, please let us know.
