Bank account in Georgia

I will be going to Georgia next year and I'm looking to open a bank account there.

How long does it take BoG to open a personal bank account for someone with anEU passport?
Or let me rephrase it, how long do I need to stay in Tbilisi to get the bank account/card?

You want to read the thread and have a search on the forum! Several people here reported that you can simply go there in person and open a personal account as an foreigner.

phone number must be Georgian. cannot use international numbers for the sms messages.

Only for initial account opening the phone number must be Georgian.
Later on you can change it to an international one.

Maybe others. BoG have a hard-set +995 prefix which cannot be modified

That is NOT true.
I am using my own phone prefix from EU country.
I am getting SMS notifications properly for every card transaction
