My "strategy" was to be worried and very polite at the same time. They use to ask to wait for 2 weeks. Tell them you already waited for that and that you want to "expedite your case"
If he doesnt reply (he replied to me), check his friends on Facebook - I'm sure you'll find some of his coworkers you can reach out to. Try their reddit channel as well.
