wise direct debit option

hello, does anyone know if a direct debit setup can suck funds out of my wise account? im making a deal and the other party which is using chase bank was asked by them to verify the receiving bank account, 2 transactions show up as ACCTVERIFY in my account and then the total amount was paid back autoamtically
first time using a us bank so idk if this can be used to charge me automatically in the future aka a scam?

Don't worry about it.
It's much more complicated to scam your money with Direct Debit rather that regular credit card, because compliance is much stricter, you can any moment revert that charge without questions asked

For Wise it's even better: you can go to Manage -> Direct Debit and cancel your vendor for any future payments
