I read somewhere in the past that people are setting up UK LTDs with non resident directors and manage to pay low to zero corporate tax.

I'm interested to know how do they do it? I'm ready to move to a country that doesn't tax foreign income (e.g: Malasya) if
anyone can specify the method of setting up a UK company and be able to pay no payroll tax and minimal corporate tax?

No payroll tax to non residents in the UK. You have to pay corporate tax, that's based on the profits of the company.
Note that Malaysia now taxes foreign source income that is remitted to Malaysia, if it's not been subject to tax in another country, with some exceptions like if it's tax free in the other country.

Thanks, is it harder to open UK bank accounts if the only sole resident Director of that UK company does not reside in the UK?

You should keep it all in the UK, company, director, shareholder and real office address, so you won''t see all the trouble you read about.
