Haven't seen any thread or comments about this hardware wallet, looks pretty solid for daily use (mobile-only).
Looks just like a normal credit/debit card so carrying it through airports shouldn't be an issue at all.
The code for their wallet is also open source https://github.com/tangem

A few downsides I can already see are:

1. Firmware can't be updated, so it will eventually become obsolete
2. Mobile-only (BUT, you can of course import your seed phrase on a ledger)
3. Not very privacy-oriented (need to dig more into this)

If any of you already have this wallet, please share your experience here.
Will update this thread once I receive my cards...

it looks sexy and convenient but
1) I don't understand why the card is not mimicking the payment card a bit better and instead they make it so easily recognizable (the ring version doesn't suffer from this it appears)
2) using the phone display is insecure and unacceptable for any serious use-case - it's too vulnerable and the user cannot be sure what transaction is actually signed - hw wallet must have it's own display where one can verify what's going on

i will probably add a sticker on it and see if that helps

Agreed, I can see it being quite good for daily use, but that's about it, wouldn't move millions with it (which I don't have stupi#21)

Ordered this wallet as well.
I wouldn't use Tangem for cold storage, probably just as a hot wallet.
Mind sharing what wallets you use for cold storage?

I think we are missing a thread for "best cold wallet"

Yeah, I think hardware wallets peaked with the Trezor Model T, I absolutely love it even if I have the newer models.
agreed 100%, I own 6 of those for years and also helped about 20 people with purchase/setup of their own - not one single device failed, no complaints, 1-2 hours and occasional questions on the fly is enough to turn a person with mediocre technical skills to a responsible holder

safe 5 is obviously "better" but brings very little additional value

wearable hw wallet with bluetooth and combined with personal password manager is the next step I believe/hope - makes a lot of sense to me
