Secure, online collaboration using Proton Drive "Docs"

Proton -- the VPN outfit -- announced today a new, secure, cloud collaboration feature.
I used it already.
Very nice and, if I can believe Proton, very secure.

I put up a spreadsheet that I can work on with my virtual assistant.
Changes show up immediately so the other person can see.
Saving is immediate, automatic, and secure.

Recently my assistant and I did an extensive trial of NextCloud -- a similar document collaboration service.
The get right to the bottom line, I wasted the cost of 6-month minimum service.
And wasted many, many hours testing it.

This new Proton feature is virtually free, included in Proton Drive "cloud" service.
I have a "Proton Unlimited" subscription.

I don't yet have long term experience with this Proton Docs feature,
but so far, it is fast and easy to use.

Here is what Proton says about it,
Billions of people use document editors like Google Docs and Microsoft 365 that can scan your data and are not secured with end-to-end encryption. Now you have a free alternative thanks to Docs in Proton Drive. With Docs, every keystroke is encrypted, so your work stays safe from data breaches, online surveillance, and can never be fed into AI models. Now you can collaborate on contracts, notes, creative writing, and more, knowing your drafts and comments are private.

(Disclosure: I am not connected with Proton in any way, other than being a very satisfied customer. In this message, there are no affiliate links.)
