Recently, in Spain, there has been a great social and media debate because some very famous youtubers have gone to live in Andorra due to the low tax rate in Andorra. And a few of them make a lot of money from YouTube. One day, a famous leader of one of the two most important political parties said that they would be investigated for their relationship with Spain. And this means that one of the assumptions for the Spanish IRS to stop considering you a tax resident abroad, being Spanish, is that most of your income (clients) comes directly or indirectly from Spain. The youtubers, who are in Andorra, argue that they do not have Spanish clients because their client is YouTube, YouTube being a company based in Ireland or wherever. Therefore, they have no economic relationship with Spain where most of their income comes directly or indirectly from Spain.

This are my questions.

  1. Is it the same with Patreon?
  2. Are we Patreon customers or are our customers our subscribers?
  3. What if, instead of asking for money in exchange for exclusive content for our subscribers on Patreon, we simply ask for donations as a way to subscribe to the channel in exchange for no content and only as a tip or gift, does that change?
Thanks in advance for your answers
