Hi,

planning to open a malta company with corporate director/shareholder (to avoid my name in the public register).
Which banks will open a bank account for such a company remotely?
Not that keen on flying to Malta, just to open an account.

The purpose of the company is to have an european VAT-ID and Malta has the lowest corporate tax.
Any idea if the government will usually ask for prepayments of taxes?
Anything else to consider? (what i don't know to ask about it yet)
Thanks.

There are many banks as long as you can provide utilitybill and passport for the nominees it's not going to be a problem. For instant Cyprus is an option.

Don't want to open a new thread.
Has anyone opened a company in Malta before? What are the common fees?
Just wanted to proceed and the provider, which seemed to be quite sincere, suddenly increased some fees due to "recent revision of the fees" due to regulatory changes in Malta. (my initial enquiry is 4 weeks ago).

It takes aprox 2 - 3 weeks sometimes faster to get a company registered in Malta! There are several good CPA's there which you can consult to get started!
