I have a business in which I earn roughly 8k a month in crypto.
I will be traveling to Macedonia to open up a personal account and withdraw the crypto to that account.
I live in the EU and I was told that non-residents accounts are easy to setup, although a personal visit is required. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience with Macedonian banks (HalkBank and Capital Bank)? And in particular: Do they ask for proof residency?
I send several emails to the banks with this particular question, but never got a response. I'm told this is 'normal' in these countries, but still... Does anyone have an answer? Reason to ask this question is because although Macedonia currently has no CRS implemented, it's just a matter of time before they do and if no proof of residency is required I can maybe pick one strategically
