At the end of March we will come to the end of our winter stay on the tiny island of Sark (if anyone is interested about Sark see my previous post)...
Our plan is to move to Portugal using NHR mid April, however..
When we move we will have completed 90 midnights (Jan - December) and lived on Sark for 6 months since end of October last year, we have paid our years worth of Sark tax £439, when we enter Portugal on the D7 Visa we will become Portugese Tax Resident.
Can we keep our zero Sark tax status for the days we are in Sark before moving to Portugal or would we become Portugese tax resident for the year and loose the oppotunity to have Jan - March as Sark zero tax status?
Sark tax year is Jan - Dec and Portugal April - March
