Israeli police used stun grenades to disperse Palestinian protests in east Jerusalem today, police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said in a phone interview. Stun grenades were used in one of two locations where dozens of Palestinians gathered to demonstrate, he added. This is the fifth day police have been on high alert in the city, following a visit by Vice President Joe Biden during which Israel announced approval of plans to build new homes in east Jerusalem.
