Never deal with HSBC remotely. I learnt my lesson the hard way :(. This video sums up the reality.

then what kind of professional tax adviser who isnt affiliated with hsbc should i be talking to then? rsvp

Speak to any local advisor that is totally independent.

I would never deal remotely with HSBC again if it is the last bank on earth.

Search for Formation/Registration/Accounting Company in HK, they handle foreign client intros for local Banks.

But for HK Bank, you need to be in HK and present a good biz plan why you wanna Bank there, forget the remote way.

what kind of avisors online are totally independent? rsvp

The ones that don't boast they can introduce you to XYZ bank. However I get your point "totally independent "is a relative term. Every advisor is going to have a personal bias based on their own past experience :(.
