Looking for an EMI that's relatively easy and quick to open for UK LTD
activity : Graphic designing
Director : Europe

Background Story: our current EMI decided for no obvious reason to freeze our account last month with 6 figures in balance. For a month+ they asked for everything under the sun , Even went as far contacting few of our clients banks to verify payments and all was clean and clear with contracts ,invoices and POW.
However they closed the account anyway and asking us to send the balance to an account under the company name cant be some other name or different LTD.

Wise rejected us and we didn't have any other accounts as backup since we have been doing just fine with our current EMI for 2 Years +.

any leads would be appreciated

What was your previous EMI that froze your account? Some information here would be helpful for other members. Also what was the reason Wise rejected you?

Regarding other EMI's there are plenty out there, did you try Revolut for example? Some other ones such as Vivid, Airwallex, Genome and tons of others. There are also UK based ones such as Tide Bank, Anna.money etc. Clear a few hours of your schedule, prepare your documents and then just apply to all of them so you won't be in this situation ever again. There really is no reason to have just one account these days when there are so many options and easy to open accounts. Also, with multiple accounts you can move your capital around and don't have to keep all your eggs in one basket.

You are right , Thing is I don't worry much about banking as much as I worry about the actual business going well since its 100% kosher and this just happened out of no where after 2 years of 0 questions or interruptions from the EMI
I will not name the EMI and shame them till I get my money back I don't want to make it harder.

Thank you for all your suggestions Ill check them out and see what I can apply to. d

I am nor sure I follow the logic to not name the EMI. It is better for others to know so they can avoid and better for you to create some negative PR and sentiment around the EMI and its behaviour.

Bad service should be reported......

Also you may find people on this forum who can help with the EMI directly.

Ok stop right here. What is wrong with you that wise rejected opening an account for a UK graphic design company?

Sorry but you are not telling us the full story. What your saying does not add up at all. You either have people involved with company with terrible passports, terrible residencies, terrible customers, company operatives names are on some blacklist or company activity is not exactly as described in your post. Could also be volumes you intend to do.

P.S Unless you give the full picture you will end up wasting your time burning through EMI's.

Yeah I hear you. However kosher or not means nothing these days. The slightest thing they might not like or find weird can be enough for them to freeze the account. It's not just you that has to be kosher, all your clients and suppliers has to be to. I know people who's account has been closed down completely by getting "infected" by a transfer from an account that for some reason has been involved in some sort of fraud, or criminal activity etc without even knowing.

Hopefully you won't make the same misstanke again, always keep at least one backup account but the more the better.

Also as another user said, there really is no reason for you not to mention the EMI. It can help others avoid them, maybe other users have had the same issues with them, maybe someone can help because of personal relationships etc. You won't make it harder for yourself since they have already said they will pay out your money to another account. If everything is kosher they can't really just "steal" your money. But of course, it's up to you if you wanna share or not. Just remember, this forum is all about sharing and helping each other out. You gotta give little to get a little.

Ok

Nothing bad or terrible nor off about the business or the people involved it we just not a banking experts! And thats why we are here asking questions
All these banks requiring some crazy documents or requirements.

Thanks for the input tho

What he's saying is - if Wise rejected your application for a UK graphic design company, which is typically low risk, then something in the setup might be raising red flags. Before applying to more EMIs and risking more rejections, it’s worth figuring out exactly what triggered it so you don’t burn through all your options.

Tries to find out why they don't like him but doesn't provide full picture.....deliberately ;) . I let people read between the lines.

P.S We seen it all before on here.

These threads are always such a waste of time and energy. We almost never get the full story. We're lucky if OP eventually comes around and says they were involved in crypto or some other high risk activity that obviously explains why the financial institution acted how they did.

No, Revolut/whoever did not just close your account for "no reason." They had a reason. It's a huge headache for financial institutions to close accounts and freeze money. It's a measure of last resort. They would much rather just kick you out and let you take your money with you on the way out.

A genuine low-risk graphic design UK company handling a six figure balance and transacting with other low-risk businesses is the ideal client. You should have an almost endless supply of EMIs and even some banks to open accounts with for that kind of business.

And Wise rejected you? Sounds like Wise a better job at vetting you than your current EMI.
