Most of us have worked in Companies where our medical expenses are covered under some group policies. At times, even the expenses of our families are covered. But once we choose to move from one employer to another, our medical insurances are affected. We just doint know how much, because we dont really understand the implications until the need really arises. Of course there are positive and negative aspects as well. If the employer is buying the policy for the group, then a professional would be reading through the coverage and work in our best interests. But it could also mean we have some health problems that are not commonly found. Does it mean we need to take a separate medical insurance for that, and does that come as an exclusive cover or is grouped with other covers forcing us to buy additional coverage. In any event, would it be costlier to buy a coverage starting at later stage in life say 35 or 40?
