I was todays years old when I found out that (thanks to this forum and short research)
So the whole process takes 3-6 months, you buy property in Turkey for at least $400k ( or multiple properties) and apply for citizenship. In the process you get to choose your name!
If you are thinking what I'm thinking please let me know if you see any weak spots.

(general outlay of the process)

(here they confirm (what i heard in this forum) that you get to choose your own name)

thoughts?

Yeah there have been a few threads about it lately, it's something I really looking further into atm.

it's an appealing option
weak spots I can see:
* sooner or later it will be an EU passport which is unwanted for some
* it's a general problem (but in countries like Turkey especially) you never know what obligations may be connected with that citizenship in future - e.g. military service
* Turkey (and its citizens) can get sanctioned easily in future for many reasons by many important countries
* their currency is collapsing faster then others and it will cause social and political instability and threaten your investment
