First I have spent a long time reading many similar questions on here so I will try and consolidate what I knew and have learnt from that and then hopefully others can add more information or their experience as well if not then maybe my thoughts will help someone else in future.
About my situation
I am a resident in an EU country that the distribution of online pornography is illegal. I run a company here that skirts the line of pornography, it is not grey area and clearly not pornography so I am not doing anything illegal and I am trying to avoid that situation. I produce content and am an experience webmaster in more mainstream fields though I have some experience in the adult industry as well and the trials and tribulations of being involved. My plan is for a membership site in a niche in which I create content, I have a large pool of interested subscribers already but now I am on the path to actually finding a practicable method to deliver the content.
My Current Plan
Privacy
Although I would prefer some privacy, it seems that chance of that is limited when it comes to adult payment processors who require an EU company with a EU resident or a US one with US resident owner. Instead I will go the route of pseudonymity using a company name that is hard to search for and returns ambiguous results. This is the best option I can currently see considering nominees for adult businesses is hard to find.
Company
With that in mind I believe Cyprus may be the best country for incorporation. Simply for the reasonable tax structure and EU status. I have spoken to processors who have confirmed that they will work with a Cypriot company. I have also considered Romania due to their laissez faire attitude to adult industry, but am concerned about potential issues with managing the company in Romania. Any thoughts on this are welcome!
Banking
Sadly the puritans make banking hard. It seems the best option today is using Bitsafe/Verotel and swallowing the fees or the added work of shelter sites and potential issues with traditional banks. I will continue to research this but for now Bitsafe is my plan.
I would be interested to hear from others in the industry, I am also a member at other adult webmaster sites so we may have spoken before, or if you simply want to add your two cents then I would also welcome that!
