Calling Obama a liar

What's wrong with calling Obama a liar, like Congressman Wilson did? Since when did it become racism to call someone a liar as former President Carter accuses Wilson of?

In democracy,there is no harm in calling a person liar.May it be Mr.Barrack Obama or anybody else,but one should have substantial base/evidence to use such word against the World No-1,the President of USA.But in no case it can be called as racism and it just a political statement used against opponents.Although it is unfortunate but we should not take this comment of Mr.Wilson as undemocratic or racism.
