Nice read about to incorporate your business in the BVI (British Virgin Islands). You may want to read about the tax changes in 2016 / 2017 and why people don't want to look in the direction of incorporating their business in the BVI any longer.

Judge dismisses false reasons given for incorporation

But, adding an infrequent judicial voice to the issue, Justice Leon yesterday declared: “We should remember that those who come to incorporate [financial services businesses] here come not primarily for the false reasons we have heard so much in the past year.”

“An important underlying reason that many come to this territory to incorporate is because they do not have at home what we offer them here,” the Commercial Court judge continued.

Thanks for the share. I wasn't aware of that people tend to incorporate their business in the BVI for the reason to get a financial service license there!

It is still the same in 2017 as I read there are a few users of this from that has tried to incorporate their business in the BVI but was met with lots of document requirements!

It have become complicated to register a company in the BVI and most often people want to find a different jurisdiction unless you have a good lawyer, banker and CPA at your hand.
