Bermuda Digital Nomad Visa Closed!! Any other ways in for 1/2 years?

Hey!

My wife and I have been looking forward to moving to Bermuda just for a year or two while we (hopefully) are first time parents, just for a more chill way of life. We love Bermuda, it's well connected, have a vague family connection... and it's tax free so that's a huge plus.

Something in my mind made me want to check it on Saturday and, low and behold, day before they announced it had closed.

Know it's an outside chance but, anyone know of any work arounds? We're not looking to settle, legitimately... but also I don't want to have to drop a fortune to buy my way?

But reading above I don't think they want foreigners coming and taking up housing stock. I would look elsewhere.

Maybe look at Barbados. Easiest remote worker program around and tax free also.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm so pleased I discovered this forum!

I will take a look at both of those – we were also planning on looking at Bahamas too, for similar reasons, so all is not lost.

Barbados I found to be really pleasant in the past, and didn't know about their tax position so thank you Martin!
