My Cable-Modem supports WireGuard VPN out of the Box, 24/7.

A long time ago I rented a Linux server for 2€ per month at the Frankfurt internet backbone and ran WireGuard there.

Consider Fritz!Box if you live in the EU. My download rate is 1000mbit, upload is 50mbit at home. Enough to stream 4k abroad via VPN.
