Hey all,

I'm writing to you with the hope that I can find a solution to my big legal pain.
In 2015, a friend and I started working on a project; the project needed a company, so my friend opened an offshore company in Seychelles.

We used the company for a full year, however after a year or so as things turned out me and my friend decided to part ways on this project, so I started working on this project on my own for the next years.
We initially used the Seychelles company to register an account in a membership association to obtain some resources, for which we paid a yearly fee trough all of these years.

Since we parted ways, my friend didn't renew the company in 2017, and quite frankly, I totally forgot about it up until now, when the membership association contacted me and asked me to provide them with documents so they can verify our legal entity.

The company was registered 100% in my friend's name, we never considered transferring of the company to my name, as the project was not doing well in the early days financially, so he just stopped paying the renewal fees, which lead to company dissolvement.

Now, the membership association wants to close our account and deregister our resources.
I tried transferring the resources from the old account to the new account, however, in order for the transfer to be executed the old account needs to to provide certificate of good standing.

Is there something I can do?
I'm willing to hire professional help, however I'm not sure where and for what to look.
