Thailand tax revised again (In draft)

I read the OP several times and I don't understand. It doesn't say anything new at all. I googled and came up with this: "Thailand mulls tax breaks to attract overseas investment" https://www.nationthailand.com/business/banking-finance/40046276 Okay, they are "still looking". Keep calm everyone.

China's Opensource Deepseek outperforms OpenAI GPT-4o

The big news is it is being given away as open-source which is always a positive for everyone. Not sure why its being touted as a huge "win" for China — at this pace of innovation, the top AI models get replaced by newer models regularly. The statement "2 months and $6m to develop." is merely...

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

Thanks for the clarification. Reading up on the new visa types I note that the LTR (long-term resident) has high requirements for yearly income, qualifications and/or assets as explained here: https://ltr.boi.go.th/#what I was slightly confused because I thought the LTR visa was the same as DTV...

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

That website seems confusing, or it is just me. Since when does CRS report individual transactions? Also with regards to the "LTR is exempt from foreign sourced income" yeah well so is ALL foreign income when earned the previous year and then remitted, from my understanding. Up until last year...

Maltese real estate is in a bubble (Change my mind)

Any info about the abolishing of the 6/7 refund? (point #5 as I understand) — Never heard any news about that.

Thailand new change - world wide income at Thai tax levels to be taxed

I'm going to extend my Elite/Privilege visa another 15 years this autumn, and if this "global income tax" becomes a reality I will probably open a holding corp (somewhere) for my Malta based trading company, that will then receive most of what I take out from it as income today, in the form of...

    Thailand Elite Visa.

Thailand Elite went from like 9k members a few years back to more than 30k this year. It is unsurprising that some serious criminals would join this visa schema. I read a similar article some years ago about a rape case in Bangkok where the perpetrator was a Thailand Elite member as well...

Interactive Brokers and Brexit - Lower account protection

For anyone else interested and to answer my own query previously in this thread about IB country, I received a reply from their support to check the top of my activity statement. I have "Interactive Brokers LLC, Two Pickwick Plaza, Greenwich, CT 06830" up there which means I'm a customer of the...

Interactive Brokers and Brexit - Lower account protection

I'm really confused about which country I'm an "IB client" of. I wasn't asked to migrate when I logged in, but does anyone have any idea how to check this definitely?

Thai resident and have income from Forex broker affiliate.

30 seconds on Google teaches us that Thailand only taxes income sourced in Thailand or remitted to Thailand in the same calendar year it was earned. Leave your affiliate earnings outside of Thailand and you don't have to pay any tax on it, so stop worrying. Also, Thailand has a labour force of...

Best company incorporation service for UAE company?

How long have you been using this firm @abdulkaddir and what services? Do you know their price for RAK ICC formation and yearly maintenance costs? Granted they also have information about liquidation procedures on their website which is a plus in my book, most "agents" skip this information...

Sticking to Transferwise as EMI, what about the incorporation country?

That's from my own agent which I have used for this setup. There are plenty others to find if you Google around, I'm unsure about promotions/links here so not going to post anything. People on this forum have been talking about license costs and so on when it comes to UAE companies however...

Sticking to Transferwise as EMI, what about the incorporation country?

You don't have to pay any tax if you setup a UAE company in RAK FZ. No accounting and no audit required. Transferwise accepts UAE companies and the corporate registry is anonymous. Running cost for year 1 and on 2000 - 2500 EUR. Setup cost around 2500 EUR.
