I agree! Why take the chance of hurting your businesses just to save a few bucks? It might hurt your reputation in the long run, and that could have been averted by paying for someone's good reputation in the web hosting biz.
Here in the United States, we have been told for a few years now to not trust wire transfers such as Western Union, unless you completely know and trust who it is coming from, because of all the fraud.
I also agree that Paypal is nothing to worry about, in fact it is something to rely on when everything else is so iffy. Ebay, on the other hand, has an uncertain future, I think.
The reason most people want a verified Paypal account is because some people won't ship products to someone if the account isn't verified. They have a policy like that because Paypal won't offer their money back insurance if the ship-to address is unverified.
The thing that keeps me motivated is the rumble in my belly! (only partly joking here) I love the feeling of depending upon myself and not the whims of some crazy boss (oh, wait my boss is still crazy...)
What are the most common payment systems used by customers from other places than the United States? I would like to branch out and attract customers that don't like to use Paypal.
I have been talking with my friend about creating a blog for her ebay business, but she sells one of a kind things, and vintage items that she doesn't have duplicates of. Is this a blog worth doing? Or is there an angle for this?

It seems like you could sell it on your own blog or website where you already have a readership. I am interested in selling an ebook, too. Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
If she is new at selling her products, she might want to try it out on sites like ebay or newer ones like 1000Markets. If she is good at what she does, I don't see why she should fail.
I think that self-destructive trait can ruin everything in your life! If one is too busy thinking about how important they are, they don't have time to think about their spouse, children or customers.
Why would you try to avoid your responsibilities as a citizen, anyway? It is not worth it to my conscience. Besides, who would pay for the roads and police if good taxpaying citizens don't?
