Hi everyone,

I need some advice regarding a reliable exchange. I currently have BTC stored on my hardware wallet and would like to exchange it for USDT and eventually transfer USD to my bank account. The bank won't be an issue as they will accept the transfer, but my concern is finding an exchange that won’t block my transactions or cause unnecessary complications.

The amounts I’m looking to exchange are around $50–60K per transaction. I’m less concerned about high fees and more focused on security and ensuring my funds aren’t at risk of being stolen or held indefinitely.

For context, all my crypto was purchased by me through platforms like Binance and Crypto.com. It’s entirely legitimate, and I can provide proof of purchase if necessary. Taxes and compliance won’t be an issue as everything is clear on that front. I’m simply looking for the safest and most reliable way to convert and transfer my funds.

Could Revolut be an option? I already have a Revolut account, so I’m wondering if transferring BTC/ETH to their crypto wallet and exchanging it there might work. Has anyone tried this for amounts of $50–60K?

I’ve also read negative reviews about services like Coinify (offered via Ledger), where users report their funds being held indefinitely due to ongoing KYC issues. This is exactly the kind of problem I want to avoid.

Can anyone suggest a trustworthy exchange for converting BTC or ETH and transferring funds to a non-EU bank account via SWIFT? Would platforms like Binance or Coinbase be safe options, or is there another service you'd recommend?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Could Revolut that I have be an option? Transfer BTC / ETH to revolut crypto wallet and change there maybe?

Use the same exchanges where you originally bought your coins.

Thank you for your suggestion!

A significant part of my purchases was made through Ledger, using some of their providers. However, these providers are only set up for buying BTC and ETH—they don’t offer the option to sell. This leaves me needing to find another platform for selling.

The only selling option directly available through Ledger is Coinify, but as I mentioned earlier, I’ve come across far too many negative reviews about them. Users have reported issues such as prolonged holding of funds under the guise of KYC verification, which is exactly what I want to avoid.

For this reason, I’m looking for a reliable and secure alternative to handle the exchange and transfer process elsewhere.

Do you have a receipt from which provider you bought or in which time ( you could maybe look with what company they were partnered when you bought ) .

Yes! With Ledger yes, I just checked my emails and it's there :) I assume I will be having from Binance too... But I remember in Binance i used P2P to buy crypto (was sending amounts through revolut and they were transfering to my Binance crypto) - i hardly remember, the chat was through Binance P2P. So the 30% might be covered. So, shall I do through Binance and if they ask for proofs I can send the ledger purhases? Does Binance have the P2P purchases through their platform?
Or what other options I have?
And how I can sell BTC to USD finally? Do I have to do first USDT and then USD ? Thank you!

If you have all the supporting SoF documents, any A-tier exchange will do.

what is the SoF and the A-tier ? Thank you!
I don't have everything as I did most purchases through Binance P2P purchases. I remember i was transfering amounts through Revolut and someone was sending me BTC & ETH in Binance (before I own ledger). Through the Binance P2P was this time that Binance didn't exchange directly as at the very beginning. After I moved out I am not sure what they did later and how they do now.
thank you

SoF stands for 'Source of Funds' – it’s the documentation that proves where the funds you’ve used came from (e.g., bank statements, transaction records). A-tier exchanges refer to top-tier, reputable exchanges with strong compliance and security standards (like Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, etc.).

It sounds like you may need to gather more detailed transaction records, especially from Binance P2P and Revolut, to clarify your Source of Funds. If you're unsure about the current process, contacting Binance support could help you understand how they handle transactions now.

So, it's so hard? I wonder a lot that don't even have SoF (doing business, selling, getting payments online etc), how they convert to normal money?
Also, to convert BTC to USDT do i have to have all those SoF etc? Or it's only in the case of moving money to the bank?
Thank you

Where did you buy the other 70% through ledger live app ?

So, it's so hard?
If everything is legitimate and you have receipts showing your purchases and how you obtained the funds to buy X amount of BTC in the first place, then no, it’s not an issue.

Invoices prove that you legitimately acquired those BTC.
Also, to convert BTC to USDT do i have to have all those SoF etc?
You can do this on-chain quite easily with no risk of having your funds frozen (at least not immediately).
However, Tether can still blacklist you in the future if your funds are tainted.

I can't really remember exactly. I remember that I bought all my BTC & ETH through Binance initially, maybe Coinbase very small amount, and later on through Ledger and provider like Moonpay (through ledger). Later I moved all in Ledger (from Binance). I don't remember exact percentages. The question is, since i never sold before, how I can do it an where.
I mean where and how I can make the BTC and ETH from crypto to EURO or USD and deposit to my bank.
I now look at Binance and at the Withdraw Fiat option there is no USD or EUR, only some other countries currencies, AUD, PHP (Philippines Pesos), Pakistani etc.... So, it's not the way I believe.
I am trying to contact Binance support and in the search tools, again it mentions P2P, I believe again that might be the way... Any other way easier rather than the big headache of P2P thing, to find someone and have to trust your amount etc?
I never believed that crypto was so hard finaly, I wonder why people are into it... I want to sell and i'd prefer a bitcoin bond next time rather than this shaddy situation...
Can you please help me what I need to do?
Thank you once again!

Here you can see the RampCatalogProviders for ledger live app historically (onramp & offramp) https://github.com/LedgerHQ/ledger-...m/providers/RampCatalogProvider/api/mock.json . Just click view code at this point (middle button on the right side) .

Yes everything is legitimate but we are talking about HUGE work to find the details of Binance (as was P2P). I remember i was talking thorugh a chat with the guy and then I was sending more through Revolut and he was adding BTC to me. This is the P2P of Binance.

Invoices I found for Ledger, I am not sure about Binance if they keep / send info. I check in my email, i see some like "
Fiat Deposit Successful
You've successfully deposited xxx EUR. You can check it in your wallet", some other BANXA purchases all back in 2021-2022 and maybe earlier.

How I can do this on chain?????? What do you mean?
Thank you!!!!

You want to put in the work BEFORE something potentially happens, not after. It's much easier to take 2 to 3 days off to gather all this info than to have your funds frozen and then panic last-minute trying to find all your receipts. Trust me, been there, done that.

You might want to look into ThorSwap.

Thank you! ThorSwap is safe? No issues? So if I switch BTC & ETH to USDT then (in case of fail of the coins) I have plenty of time to withdraw somehow. My main concern 1) is how I sale fast BTC & ETH if they start falling. Switch for example to USDT (or there is a new USDC as i know which is stable too?) . And 2nd i see how i can withdraw it in time.
So, to first be safe with conversion, is this possible without any surprises? (btc or eth to usdt)?

I don't think there are receipts, you mean the emails of purchases? I was purchasing 100-200$ there are MANY purchases, what they want to see? Each and every transaction?

In Binance, is still the option to withdraw to EUR/USD or no? I don't see any as I wrote earlier, only AUD and some other currencies. No problem to send to AUD in worst case... but...
Thank you!

ThorSwap.
BTC -> WBTC (Make sure you have some ETH for gas or you will be left stuck with WBTC and no way to move them around)
You can then sell WBTC for USDC at any time on any DEX such as Uniswap or 1inch or CowSwap instantly.

I would suggest using USDC instead of USDT.

Thank you! What is the DEX?
But I see that Thorswap supports BTC (Native) to USDC (ETH) directly so why i have to convert first to WBTC?

Also, it asks to connect wallet. So I need to connect my Ledger on this? Is it trustworthy??? Or everything can dissapear?
SO confusing :(((

In Binance, is still the option to withdraw to EUR/USD or no?
I can't tell you that. Binance asked way too many questions in a similar situation, so I just switched to a different exchange.

Depending on where you live, you'll have different options on various exchanges, but go with one of the top-tier ones.

One important question to ask is: how much are you trying to "cash out" into fiat currency?

Different amounts can come with different problems and solutions.
