Putin saying the quiet part out loud...I wonder if anyone in the EU gov. will respond :)

Yes, Putin is always happy to criticize his enemies, what else should he do? I wouldn't want him as the government leader for the whole world!

smi(&% He just said what we all know to be true. In my father's diary, he wrote several times before he emigrated from Europe: "La mia nazione è diventata la meretrice dei rozzi cowboy." (My nation has become the prostitute of the uncouth cowboys).

PS. In defense of my father, I'm not sure if he meant Italy, Portugal (ethnically, he was from those 2 places), or Germany (where he was born). I found his diary AFTER he passed away in the early 80s. He was born in 1910 and emigrated from Europe in 1950.

For sure he referred to Italy, no other country was that much subjugated to the US back then.
Interestingly, the US was perfectly fine with the CCCP financing the Italian communist party. In fact, when the bags with USD cash arrived in Rome from Moscow, a U.S. officer always checked if the money was genuine; it was then handed over to the local representative of the PCI, who went to the IOR (escorted by state police sent by the DC minister of interior affairs) to exchange it for liras.

Whatever political position everyone of us may have, we have to admit that the guy is something. We don't see anymore strong people like that smi(&%

oh, forgot to ask if the rope was gluten free and veggie approved?

We live in a weird time when we are told to ignore injustice and hypocrisy if perpetrated by the US and its friends. If you call it out you considered a Putin puppet or worse.

"Let us have faith that right makes might" - Abraham Lincoln

Lincoln would be turning in his grave to know that today the US slogan is "might makes right". Putin has nothing to worry about when it comes to US as they will pull the trap door on themselves economically in their struggle with China. The EU will be pulled down that hole also as the US struggles to climb out of it.
