Gold Smuggling

maybe in a big city in Germany within hours during a working day not mentioning the nice cut for the house
elsewhere it's simply anywhere between worse and impossible
You can do same in Switzerland and even many Scandinavian countries.

I don't agree like that with you. Gold can be turned to FIAT within minutes.
1) If it's turned into Fiat within minutes (in-size) then it goes through the current surveillance apparatus, as well as predomiantly the fiat based system and in future CBDC system.
2) If it's not in size then you will take a haircut anywhere from 10-50% outside of the system, that was shown recently by George Gammon who tried to travel through South America using Gold, Bitcoin, Silver.

Now in South East Asia it *MIGHT* be different, having said that buying Gold now goes through the Surveillance apparatus and compliance process (so it can be seized) going in-and-out, some will say you can just sell it to people, the problem there is that there is a lot of fake gold, shops you don't have a history with and receipts for purchases want to test the bars which takes 'days' and takes a % (high) in fees to do.

Gold itself like Silver is pointless for day-to-day transactions, and bartering is worse.

*Trust me i live and breath gold in South East Asia where it's predominantly the means of savings, so i've observed this directly for well over a decade.

when it comes to CASH FIAT then maybe Switzerland - surely not Scandinavia
Switzerland has whole hosts of surveillance/compliance processes in-line with AML5/AML6.

That means there's no privacy like you believe, that ended years ago.

And try and do anything with said cash, at most 5 yrs ago they'd accept 10,000CHF for property etc, these days more likely 3,000CHF everything else has to go through the system.

The ONLY escape is to LEAVE.

I didn't bring up Switzerland myself :D - I just said "maybe"
I stand behind my experience that the only place known to me where I can walk in to the house with 1 kg of physical gold and leave with cash in my bag is Germany

To start a discussion of this kind or to dismiss what others have experienced only to share your own experiences and try to establish them as prevailing facts is below my level.

Everyone should have the right to express their opinions and experiences. And I can only advise anyone in a difficult situation who needs FIAT and has 1 or 2 kg of gold to look carefully at the opportunities that lie in each country or neighboring country. There are ALWAYS possibilities no matter what the law is or what others have experienced. It's about being able to think outside the box, creatively, and proactively. And then making a decision before others make it for you.

You guess forgat the MAJOR advantage.
You can't tax physical
Where high negative interest rates can and will be implied even to fiat money according to IMF papers

Correct
In india gold is so much into their cultur you can sell it nearly everywhere
In China the government demand is so big you can sell it directly with a premium
Basicly in ex communist country who experienced what devalution of fiat means you can sell this asset easily.Just need to find where you get good prices as there are many who try to rip off.
In western countries the possibilities are less because people have been confident in their currency for a long time and never were schooled about the function of precious metals.
In arabic countries its way easier again.

Everything depends on the location you try to sell so maybe a solution could be storing it in the way you can move it easily to any country you like ;)

Even in our "clown upside down animal world" where the physically weakest unproductive animals get to "invent" laws, these "laws" have to STILL be unambiguously written to be enforced. The whims or hallucinations of public servants, prosecutors, or even judges are NOT, as a matter of law, legal. ;)

I agree with you 100%.
This has been my experience, as well, in these regions.

In my opinion the real gold is what very attractive women sit on everyday lol... Attractive women can travel the world and make millions and it can only be taken away by father time and not the authorities !! And on top of that it's not burdensley heavy, you don't have to show it, it can't be stolen, it could be used and reused over and over again and you don't have to declare it either lol

elitely attractive women have so many options
1) Get married to a billionaire
2) Be an Attractive Celebrity get paid just by looking pretty gigs....
3) Be mediocre professional Athlete with a elite good looks and will get you more attention than the number one seeded athlete in the same sport....making millions by doing commercials.
4) Be a International Elite adult pornstar / Guest stripper and just get paid for self masturbation..
5) Some B team not even A celebrities made 1 million on only fans in than 24 hours by just showing there u know what....
6) Ironically it's income producing - you get free diners, free presents, free drinks, free diners. Gold just sits there and looks pretty lol
7) Elite attractive women create their own luck just by standing there.
8) Do people froth at the mouth at Gold compared to a very attractive person?
9) Buying gold is for suckers... The real winners in the gold business are the ones who dig it up for free that's the ultimate arbitrage where you can't lose!!!!
10) When a person is starving they don't care about Attractive people or gold they care about Food!!!! When a person is freezing to death they don't care about attractive people or gold they care about shelter in a warm and comfortable place.

P.S. Attractive women don't even have to give out sex to get what they want. You know that and most of the whole world knows that; and that's the point! Smart elitely attractive women are their own boss! They choose where to go, how to use their own time, how to market themselves and who they choose to spend time with! Unattractive women with no talent or money will most likely live the hard life.... it's unfair, sad and unfortunately for the most part true.

#Bingooooooooooo. I couldn't agree with you more! It's a sad state of affairs to witness the mass cuckolding of simping "males."
It's depressing as H3LL, so I opt NOT to watch the news or hang out with ANYONE who normalizes this TOXIC behavior.
Whether one believes in a Creator or not, the promoters did gift us a piece of valuable life advice:
Thou shalt NOT worship false idols, "including, but NOT limited to women" (Emphasis and additional words added by me).

Not everywhere, but for sure you want to believe that. If that is what you want, you can still do it.

And here in Thailand, there are gold shops in every neighborhood and mall. Not exaggerating: "every". To find an area of any town or city without a gold shop would be difficult.
Thing is, the ones in the mall do ID retention for 1 Baht of gold these days, and major chains.

This information all gets filed under your passport ID into the centralised server at AMOL and shared with Immigration and likewise a few other agencies.

The law was 2m, then 500,000 now 250,000/200,000 but with Foreigners it's basically any Gold amount.

So basically kinda defeats the purpose from a privacy perspective as they know who's doors to knockdown in a Gold sezure event (i.e if India stock market, economy crashes and creates a Asian financial crisis due to the interlinked economies within the monsoon region).

Not everywhere, but for sure you want to believe that. If that is what you want, you can still do it.
Were you not being chased by one financial tax agency a while back?

You earnestly believe data isn't shared or cross-meta-banks?

The only time data isn't collated is when there's a personal relationship, and those are difficult for new people to get into unless there is an introduction, especially in the era where everything and anything is labelled as laundering and the ramifications of such.

You can put down 10k cash no questions asked for a property in Switzerland and the rest the lawyer will tell you to buy furniture with lol.
Same applies to gold outside of a personal relationship.

The world has changed its more restrictive due to the ramifications in the west, and in the east certain countries are becoming more restrictive (Thailand being one of them).

Laos, Cambodia, Eastern Africa, parts of South America, and parts of the Middle East/North Africa are still behind but the West and emerging economies are all embracing unexplained wealth orders, surveillance, money laundering charges etc due to demographic collapse and state burdens.

Obviously we've been through these cycles all the way back to Ancient Greek Cities, hopefully the unravelling and collapse is quickly so we can return to the principles of privacy, freedoms, and naturally have a dismantled international computational network. (polarised world -> economic collapse -> wars -> famines -> revolution / state collapses)

@wellington: Do you know, even at suburban shops or in smaller towns up-country in Thailand, where it is rare to see a tourist, do they still require ID? Or is that only in major tourist areas? And is ID requirement for selling only, or buying, too?

All depends on relationships this is a public forum so I don’t wish to go into more detail but there are a lot of Chinese Thais that lived or ancestors lived under communism and understand the dangers of collecting data… so yeah there’s numerous places.

The downside is that prolific fake gold entered the markets so unless you buy and sell at the same store you end up getting squeezed in testing etc

One important thing, I am unsure if they do reporting for the US specifically as a lot of these pushes in Thailand were at the behest of the US and US Citizen Residents evading taxes.

UK doesn't have a legal right to information, unsure about the EU, but i imagine there is at the very least a data share there via AMOL for the US.
