Hello, everyone. I'm a long time friend of a person you know as jafo. I’m posting here because he always spoke fondly of this forum and the people he connected with here. Sadly, he has passed away a few weeks ago. I wanted to let you all know since this community meant so much to him. I knew him for more than 3 decades and was keeping more in touch with him in the last couple of years since he was sick. He had a good life, and part of what contributed to that was this forum. I know he's thankful to all of you for brightening up his days and help keep him entertained towards the more difficult times at the end.

Thank you for being part of his life.

Thank you for sharing this heartfelt message about Jafo. On behalf of OCT, please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your long time friend and our cherished community member.

Jafo’s presence in this forum was truly special, and his contributions, humor, and camaraderie will be sorely missed. It’s touching to hear how much this community meant to him, and we are honored to have been a source of joy and companionship during his life.

Your words remind us of the incredible impact Jafo had, not just here but in the lives of those around him. His memory will undoubtedly live on in the connections he formed and the light he brought to this community.

We are thinking of you and all those who held him dear during this difficult time.

Very sad to hear that Jafo has passed away. I know I won't be alone in missing him.

He was a good, smart, fun, and interesting contributor to the forum and I'm sure he was just as much of a delight in person to those around him. While his passing leaves a hole in the world, his memory will live on.

Thank you very much for letting us know.  He was extremely helpful to many people here and helped many uf us with his life-long experience from living in Tokyo, Paraguay and way beyond. Many of us know that we can find shelter in the Paris Shopping Mall in Ciudad del Este in Paraguay when the world is about to end, we just need to look for the OCT sign in front of his door:
Fleeing a NATO vs. Russia conflict

There was (and still is) a lot to be learnt from him. He was a true source of inspiration for business and live the like. His contribution will hopefully remain here as a source of information for future generations. @jafo was my best friend here and we had long private discussions about anything that was off-topic elsewhere.

I wish you and all his other friends and family all the best and the deepest condolences.

Rest in peace. I never would've imagined him being sick for so long judging by his humorous posts, which were always entertaining to read. I'm grateful for his contributions, tax advice and personal stories.

Any chance we can get to know more about his life, how be built his wealth, where he came from and so on? I get that's up to his family. Either way, I'm thankful to have someone like him willing to put time and effort into giving advice to other entrepreneurs and self-employed guys wanting to escape the tyranny of governments.

Yes, he was an outstanding member of the forum. He never let on that he was sick; I thought he was just mega busy doing whatever product fulfilment he was part of.
