It does appear to be slightly more attractive than other schemes out there, but as others have pointed out, the UK is a long way from where it needs to be. Based on where things are currently it'll need an economic miracle like South Korea to even begin to turn the tide.

A lot of brits are moving to Lisbon I've been told, but I've also heard that Portugal is incredibly bureaucratic. It might be something one should be cautious of, should they decide to move to Portugal. Having said that, it's a beautiful place.
