    That’s been my experience as well. Back in 2011, I set up a Nevis company and had no trouble getting a bank account in Cyprus for it. But that was many years ago, and no real alternative has come up since, so for me, a Nevis company is no longer of interest.

    If you have a local contact you can reasonably trust, it could be a good place to base yourself, provided you're okay with an unstable system in exchange for total anonymity, and potentially a place to "disappear" from public view.

    Yes, that might be possible, but you need to have enough space to realistically accommodate at least one person, with a desk and so on, and there should be access to a toilet, a small kitchenette, etc. Otherwise, it just doesn’t look like a real setup.

    As long as you're living in Latvia, I don't really see how you can avoid this tax issue, just like in any other EU country where you have residency.
